Waste Batteries and Accumulators

The Erion Energy Collective Scheme has been specifically created for the management of Waste Batteries and Accumulators (WBA)

During 2020 a total of 30,537 tons of WBA were treated, 95.1% of which represented by Automotive Accumulators, while 3.4% by Portable Batteries and Accumulators and the remaining 1.5% by Industrial Accumulators

The COVID-19 pandemic has had limited effects on this sector which has been constantly growing over the last three years. In fact, the quantity managed during 2020 increased by 11.3% compared to the previous year, mainly due to the increased collection of waste Automotive Accumulators which grew by almost 15% compared to 2019.
