The Erion System’s contribution to environmental protection is tangible, as evidenced by the results achieved through the recovery of the waste it manages. Despite the environmental impact of transport and treatment activities, converting waste into Secondary Raw Materials (SRM) is essential for creating a more circular and sustainable economy. This process reduces energy consumption and climate-altering emissions, while promoting the efficient use of resources.
In 2024, the proper management of Household WEEE prevented the emission of over 791,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent and saved over 323 million kWh of energy.
A total of 121,025 transport operations were carried out in 2024 to collect Household WEEE, representing a roughly 2% increase on 2023 and reflecting the growth in managed volumes.
In 2024, the level of service for collecting WEEE from Collecting Points was over 99%.
A total of 237,728 tonnes of Household WEEE was managed in 2024. Of this, 88% (208,699 tonnes) was sent for recycling, 7% (16,155 tonnes) for energy recovery and 5% (12,874 tonnes) was disposed of via incineration or landfill.
