The Erion System’s contribution to environmental protection is tangible, as evidenced by the results achieved through the recovery of the waste it manages. Despite the environmental impact of transport and treatment activities, converting waste into Secondary Raw Materials (SRM) is essential for creating a more circular and sustainable economy. This process reduces energy consumption and climate-altering emissions, while promoting the efficient use of resources.

In 2024, thanks to the proper management of Packaging Waste from the industrial stream, over 2,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent were avoided, over 6 million kWh were saved, and over 620,000 m³ of water were conserved.

The calculation of benefits has not taken into account tonnes from the household channel, as these are managed by supply chain Consortia with which specific agreements have been made.
