Although transport and treatment activities have an environmental impact, converting waste into Secondary Raw Materials (SRM) is essential for creating a more circular and sustainable economy. This process reduces energy consumption and climate-altering emissions while promoting the efficient use of resource.

The Sustainability Report provides an in-depth analysis of Erion WEEE’s proper management of Household WEEE, for which data on energy consumption and recovered materials is now available thanks to a methodology developed in cooperation with the WEEE Forum.

Another section is dedicated to the Waste Batteries chain managed by Erion Energy, which has developed a tool to estimate the environmental impact of transporting, sorting and treating end-of-life batteries.

A further section focuses on the Packaging Waste chain managed by Erion Packaging, which has recently developed a new calculation tool to estimate the environmental impact of transporting and recycling end-of-life packaging.
