Environmental Benefits

Erion System’s commitment to preserving the planet’s natural resources is reflected in the amount of Secondary Raw Materials recovered and the emissions avoided thanks to the valorization of waste managed by its Collective Schemes. Excluding the environmental impact of transport and treatment activities, the environmental benefits of Erion’s work are significant in terms of saving natural resources, energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere.

The Sustainability Report proposes a focus on the proper management of Household WEEE through Erion WEEE, for which data on the consumption of energy and recovered materials are now available and calculable thanks to a methodology developed in cooperation with the WEEE Forum. Another section is instead dedicated to the Waste Batteries stream managed by Erion Energy, which has recently developed a new tool capable of estimating the environmental impacts associated with the transport, selection and treatment of batteries at the end of their life.
